Bobson vs Next Generation for Finals |
| Stay
tuned for tomorrow night's championship game. It's
Bobson vs Next Generation. An old timer vs the new
team. Who will be the TBL 2006 Season 3
champ? |
|
We have all witnessed how
these teams rose from the ranks. Bobson, our last
season 10th placer has improved big time and over powered
many of our top contenders. They have beaten all their
opponents this season. They finished an amazing 8-0
feat in the elimination round. Headed by #32 Mr.
Nixon Taguibao., the team got their reinforcement this
season from their rookie players namely #16 Hui Kim Ho,
#18 Vincent Ng, #31 Jhunie Aquino, and #44 Lawrence
Ngo. Top-off with their veteran sharp shooter #8
Peter Ng. All players have been averaging double digits
this season. |
|
On the other corner, team Next
Generation, finished a 6-2 record in the elimination, have
beaten all the top 3 placer last season (Hucky, One
Express, and Titan). Team manager #9 Dennis Rostata
Go and playing coach #14 Mr. Joseph Realista played an
important role in this team. Averaging 11 points per game,
Realista has dominated the league in terms of
assist. "Grabe, mabilis ang mata nyan. Nakikita
niya agad ang open man kahit prinepressure siya ng bantay
niya." says Titan rep. The other top performers
in this team are #0 Terence Chan, #31 Richard Sibal, #50
Napoleon Ong. All have been averaging double digits. |
|
Surely, we are going to have
an exciting championship game. "Medyo mismatch
pagdating sa height, maliliit ang Next Gen compare sa
Bobson, pero madadaan nila yan sa bilis." says an
avid follower of this league. |

| Play-off
games has never been better. The only team that has
beaten a top seated team is none other than One
Express. Will they beat them again tonight?
Will they snatch the last slot of the Quarter
Finals? We will know tonight. "I bet FMC
is very eager to know who will be their next
opponent." says an avid follower of this
league. |
|
So, stay tuned for our next
update for the winner between One Express and Simplex
Nichi's game scheduled tonight at Manila Bulletin Gym at

| Sweet
Victory For Titan |
| After losing 3
of their first 4 games, team Titan shows that they are not
ready to take their Christmas vacation yet. Titan
shows the true meaning of teamwork tonight. Playing
without their top scorer Titan #3, Ibert Tan, (He was
injured during their training last Tuesday), Titan won
over FMC by a slim one point. |
| Titan was
downed by 12 points during the half-time. Head-coach
Mike Fuerte, knowing that his players' morale is going
down, then challenge his players to show their heart
to win. "Kelangan pakita natin na gusto nating
manalo. Dumepensa tayo ng maigi. Huwag tayong
pumayag magpa-api." says coach Mike. |
| Energized by
his inspiring messages, Titan players fought back in the
latter half. Several bench players stepped-up their
game. At the end, Titan won having a final score of
78 to 77. "Ngayon lang kami nanalo sa team
FMC. Kaya ang sarap ng pakiramdam namin at finally
naka-isa din kami." says Titan Rep. |

| Vincent
Ng Moves to North Carolina |
| North
Carolina after suffering straight losses have requested
TBL 2006 committee if they could absorb free agent Vincent
Ng. The committee after reviewing NC's team players
and their 3 game results have agreed on their
request. "Since pinalaro na natin ng 1 game si
Vince, pinalipat nalang sa team na medyo mahina."
says the Committee. |
| |
| Vincent
Ng was recruited by Bobson early this season. After
playing one game, the Committee received several
complaints from different teams that Bobson team is over
powered. "Hindi magiging patas ang liga kung
papayagang maglaro lahat ng hugot nila." says one of
the complainant. The Committee called for a meeting
and everybody present agreed to remove one of Bobson's new
recruit. They have decided that player would be Mr.
Vincent Ng. |

| Players
Beware. Don't Be Absent! |
| We have reach
the fourth week of our Basketball League Season 3.
At this moment, we would like to remind every team and
player about the agreed rules after elimination
round. The player that has not played a total of
four games during the elimination round will not be
allowed to play during play-off up to the finals. So
please see to it that all your players have played a
minimum of four games to qualify to play in the next
round. We advice everyone to check your team page
and make sure that your attendance are properly
marked. The sign "~" means that the player
is absent during the game. Otherwise, he is present
on that game. For further details, please click here. |

Typhoon
"Milenyo" brought havoc to the country.
Because of the strong
winds brought by typhoon "Milenyo" last Thursday,
several electrical posts have been damaged. Several
billboards collapsed, injuring many people. Almost
every part of Metro Manila experienced power
failure. Our gym at Manila Bulletin was not
spared. |
| Hence, the game scheduled
last Thursday was cancelled, and will be rescheduled
soon. However, all games this week will push
thru. |

Game 9 will
be postponed due to miscommunication.
Last Friday, there
has been a rumor of postponing the games this week.
This is due to the uncertainty brought about by teams that
recruited Class A players. A meeting was held last
Saturday to discuss and vote for this matter. The
representatives |
| of
each team that was present during the meeting agreed to
retain this week schedule. However, no
representative of Nichi group was present during the
meeting. The committee failed to inform team Nichi
that this week's game will push thru. Therefore, the
committee would like to ask for an apology for this matter
and decided to postpone game 9, battle between North
Carolina and Nichi. The new schedule of their game
will be announced soon. |
